The MELBA Foundation (Music Education and Leadership Benefiting The Arts) is a 501c3 non-profit memorial scholarship and organization who's mission is to keep music alive by providing free and/or affordable music education, instruments & supplies to those who are committed and passionate about studying music with an emphasis on underserved communities. The Melba Foundation was created in memorial of Melba DeJoya Alcazar. All concerts and events are sponsored by our generous donors as well as the incredible volunteers who believe in our mission.
The Melba Foundation distributes all memorial scholarships to students in underserved communities who are passionate and committed to studying music. The scholarship funds tuition for private music teachers, conservatories, schools and universities chosen by gifted scholars as well as music instruments and school supplies. All funding goes towards non-profit foundation operations, education, scholarships, school supplies, instruments and benefit concerts.
