What is Extra Life Tabletop Weekend?
Extra Life Tabletop Weekend is a specific event dedicated to tabletop gaming. It’s the time of year when the community puts down the controllers to play board games, TTRPGs, and card games to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
What is an Extra Life Team?
An Extra Life Team is a way for a group of streamers to combine their efforts. While you can’t donate "directly" to a team, every dollar raised on an individual member's page counts toward the Team Goal.
For Streamers: You can join the team officially to have your total added to our leaderboard, or simply use our team link to help us reach our collective milestone.
For Donors: You can pick your favorite streamer from our Roster to support them individually, or donate to any member to help the team hit its overall target.
How can viewers donate to Extra Life?
Streamers can set up their channel for donations in two ways:
The Full Setup: Sign up for an account, join our official team, and activate the Extra Life Twitch Extension in your panels.
The Quick Setup: If you prefer a faster start, simply create a chat command (like !donate) that links directly to our Team Page.
How can we encourage viewers to donate to Extra Life?
The best way to drive donations is to let your audience "play" along with you. By offering Incentives, you turn their support into a game mechanic that influences the stream in real-time. Use these tiers as examples, based on what you’re currently doing:
$5 = Rerolls, Mulligans, Props, $10 = Naming Things, $20 = Nat 20, Picking A Card, etc
How do the slots work?
Each standard slot on the schedule is 1 hour long. However, we know that tabletop games and build sessions often need more time to breathe!
If you are planning a D&D session, a longer board game, or a detailed dev project, you can PM Camper Kai to request up to 3 concurrent slots (3 hours total) to ensure you have enough time to finish your session without rushing the transition.
What can you play during the train?
For the Raid Train, we are focusing on anything "off the controller" to celebrate Tabletop Appreciation Weekend. This includes TTRPGs like D&D or Pathfinder, physical or digital board and card games, and creative work like world-building, and map creation or even doodling your characters. If your unsure just ask Camper Kai Duskwing.
What do I do when my slot is over?
When your time is up, it’s time to pass the torch and raid into the next person in the train. Just check here for who that is.
How can I join?
In order to claim a slot here join our discord and find the access code in the Tabletop Train thread.
