A long-winded title for a very, very good cause. Dear friends, Gianna Girasole, a very sweet soul from Chicago, is going through it with the big C - Cancer. She is going through her second round of treatment and needs some extra love and support. We have been in the same circles in Chicago for well over a decade; we even started DJing around the same time! She is the sweetest human and loves music and the scene just so very much. It has been so much fun watching her success from DC! Last summer, her DJ career faced an abrupt halt as she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, followed by a double mastectomy, and is now fighting again to beat it this mean C down again. Because of her ongoing treatment, she is unable to work. As you can imagine, her medical bills and bills like rent, utilities, and groceries are also due. I am organizing this event to help raise money for her to give her some peace of mind so she can put her energy towards beating this thing.
