Here's their story, and why we're helping!
Beloved T (alsoknownasT) is autistic, has ADHD, and was diagnosed with ME/CFS. She also is struggling with what she thinks could be Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which could also cause more medical expenses down the line. She hasn't been able to work consistently due to health challenges and is navigating complicated medical and insurance systems.
Joe, T's other half, was diagnosed in March of 2025 with stage 4 colon cancer with liver metastasis. Since then he has completed 12 rounds of aggressive chemo, dual surgery to remove tumors, and ongoing lifelong maintenance chemo. Right now, there's no visible cancer beyond a microscopic level, but he will remain in active treatment indefinitely to prevent regrowth. Insurance has been covering a lot, but he has lost a lot of work due to the fact he needs to get these treatments.
Current situation:
Joe has worked as an independent IT contractor in the medical field and his 5 year contract ended January 30th 2026. He unfortunately hasn't secured a new position yet which is putting financial strain on them due to paying for treatment. Insurance can only do so much!
ALSO, they're moving again! Due to medical costs and income loss, they need to move into more affordable housing, which is alot along with all that they're going through!
They don't have any children together, but they do have their precious fur babies! They have a cat named Detective Murdoch, a dog named Ellie and a tortoise named Zeleno Dete (Zel for short).
All the funds will go toward maintaining fundamental living expenses like rent and bills during the employment gap while Joe continues to receive cancer treatment. Thank you to everyone who is helping out!
