liberation weekend ii is the second annual trans rights benefit festival held in washington dc. originally envisioned as a symbol of resistance at the epicenter of the unraveling of our society, liberation weekend has become a symbol of hope for the trans community far beyond the borders of our beseiged city. our charities, gender liberation movement and no more dysphoria support legal defense for trans people suffering legal persecution and provide direct mutual aid to the most vulnerable members of our vulnerable community. your support is everything.
last year's event was more popular than we could have ever imagined. certainly far more popular than we booked for. the message we sent to the world, our bodies pressed together in joyous resolve, resonated across boundaries, borders, and divides. the juxtaposition of trans joy and the oppression of our city, our nation, and our collective consciousness presented as a ray of hope that couldn't be denied. this year we want to do more.
with our travel restricted and oppressive laws driving more and more of us underground, the liberation raid train is a way for our fans and supporters outside of the beltway to be included. a musical celebration with a powerful message and goal. because liberation is a human right, and we won't stop until every single one of us is free.
