The Story:
A month ago, I flew to Singapore, at the Airport, I fell asleep in a chair, but woke up in an Ambulance!
Not knowing what was going on, they rushed me to the hospital sirens blazing.
There they did every test they could think of, MRI, Cat scan, X-ray, blood tests, heart tests, etc etc... Still confused about what was going on, they finally managed to explain what had happened. Apparently, at the Airport I had had a stroke and epileptic seizure, a severe one. Security had spotted it on Camera and had called 911. I would like to say, that this has a happy ending, but sadly enough there are still way more tests to be done. But after 4 days bedridden ( wasn't allowed to get out, even had to pee in a pot ) I managed to sneak out through a fire escape door. I had my phone and clothes hidden under my hospital gown, so once outside, I found myself in the middle of a large unknown city. Walking around, I found a Starbucks, from where I had wifi, and managed to contact some TWITCH friends in AUSTRALIA. ( Europe was still asleep ) They helped me get back to Lombok, Indonesia where I live. After all, I had no money with me, as I wasn't prepared for it. Once back home I contacted health insurance. But, they are unwilling to pay ANY expenses. And, yes, you guessed it, a few days later I received the first e-mail.
A massive Bill....
But this has also made me realise how precious our world-wide connection is!!!!
Since this whole extra trip has cost me all my savings, there is no way I can pay those bills.
Therefore, I am asking for a little help from my friends.
Later this year, I will fly back to Europe to resume the tests, that will covered by my health insurance.
ANY LITTLE BIT OF HELP IS SUPERB!
