last monday we lost a true hero, a true friend, @spectraphonic was someone who no matter the circumstances was always positive, always laughing and smiling, eager to offer kind words, advice and just be there to listen... from my earliest days in the Twitch community I met Spectra, and immediately we connected, our love for hard dance music, our core beliefs in PLUR, our want to create safe spaces free of judgement and as we got to know each other, as she opened up about herself, we started to become motivations for each other... not just for music, not just for djing, but to face our medical conditions and keep trying to get better... I began to feel motivated once more to keep pushing to get stronger, little baby steps was our motto... we kept eachother motivated... and soon i was able to do more and more physically... and her as well. The way she showed such a strength, tenacity and resilience... then there was her acceptance of me, even if I was still so masculine looking at the time, she showed me that no matter what ur physical body looked like, you were still you, and that it was ok to be you, ok to just be... the way she embraced life, the way she kept living regardless of conditions, how she refused to let things limit her... Spectra was a true warrior, a true hero... and forever will be in my heart... her personal command in our chat was: !rainbow and a rainbow is what she is.
