Dear community, Our wonderful friend Jeremiah has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma. He has been a purveyor of the independent electronic music community of the Pacific Northwest for nearly 30 years, creating art, curating drum and bass DJ sets, as well as techno, progressive, and downtempo, building tabletop games, and more.
Jeremiah’s first infusion treatment was February 27th. Eight hours in a hospital bed with a tube connected to an IR port surgically implanted in his chest to administer the medications to his heart. If that sounds intense, he assures us it is. And this will be happening every week, including the Friday of this event. He would love to play a set, but it’s just too hard to know if he’ll be able to.
Through all of this uncertainty and trauma, Jeremiah has remained remarkably strong - though he’s the type of person who rarely asks for help and always puts others first. Unfortunately, the reality of medical bills (already exceeding $20,000), lost income due to missed work, and everyday living expenses has mounted quickly. Our friend now finds himself in a position where he urgently needs our support.
As a result of missing so much work, Jeremiah’s dropped below the threshold required to maintain his insurance coverage. With medical bills arriving, he’s also struggling to cover the essential costs of living, including rent. It all feels like a sudden avalanche of expenses at the worst possible time.
