"WareHouse Mafia"
Coming Soon!
House music evolved from disco, as DJs began altering disco songs to give them a more mechanical beat. It became mainstream in the early 1988, supplanting the typical 80s music beat. House music spread to American cities like New York City and Detroit, as well as international music hubs like London and Paris. House music has evolved from an underground scene into a global sensation.
The term "house" became a regional catch-all term for dance music. Club goers embraced the name "house" and used it to describe the music and dance at the club. The Warehouse was one of the seminal house music clubs in Chicago, along with the Music Box.
